A grave with a NZ flag planted here.
A map of the Gallipoli peninsular.
North Beach at the Northern end of the peninsula. The road had deteriorated and there.was a huge military presence. They completely control the roads on the peninsula, and closed it after our bus went through due to congestion. After we came back to ANZAC cove, we then headed inland to Lone pine. This is the site of the Australian cemetery where over 1000 Australians lost their lives in a day.
The 5th memorial where a huge number of Turks perished during the battle of the nek and Chunuk Bair. Both are particularly nasty battles with huge loss of life on all sides.
The memorial at Lone pine.
The road here is one way and under huge military presence.
