Santorini

Santorini is really beautiful,  but something of a tourist trap. Santorini is much warmer than anywhere else, we are finally over 10 degrees it felt like 18 degrees,  rising to at least 26 by the time we left. We are no longer being blown by high winds and there is a beautiful blue sky and the Agean a deep blue. The water is clear also.

.The ravages of earthquakes are obvious in Santorini. There is a volcano and the ash layers are very evident.Also where the cliffs fall down there is obvious earthquake damage.  The houses are perched together on to of the hills, very close together as the Greeks believe there will be less damage when an earthquake hits, the houses will support each other.
